JP Gallery bio picture

Welcome to my Blog!

JP Gallery is located about 15 minutes southwest of Jefferson City (between Eldon and Jeff).  We are a small home based studio that strives to provide you with exceptional portraits and customer service.  We are three women that are just like most of you - a mom, a wife, a friend, a daughter, etc.  -we are - Jen the photographer, Judy the office manager/assistant, and Lori the design specialist.   Together we are a great team.

Whether photographing a graduating senior or a two year old boy, I strive to capture the true essence of the individual.  To me, this means photographing not only the smiles, but the expressions that will help you to remember (in years to come) what that loved one's personality was really like.   I work at improving my craft daily by continuing education and pouring my heart and soul into my work.  I LOVE what I do and have been truly blessed with this gift.

Another blessing that comes with what I do is the ability to make and grow new relationships.  I have become very close with many of my clients and now consider them not only  customers but friends.   Thanks for taking the time to browse my website.  - jen

The Baby Whisperer

Judy – my office manager, assistant, & all around go to person here at the studio – also my mother-in-law  was helping with my morning session today when I captured this image.

Judy has a way with kiddos that is such a blessing to my business.  I haven't met too many babies or kids that don't like her.  She has a unique talent with children – babies and moms seem to trust her – which makes photographing them much easier.

Not too many sessions go by that I don't have some part of Judy in the image – a foot, an arm, a leg, etc.   Most of the time, in the finished product, the client will never see her.  However, when she was helping this little boy sit up this morning I saw this image in my camera and I just LOVE it.  Of course, it doesn't mean anything to the parents -but it means a lot to me.  – enjoy
