JP Gallery bio picture

Welcome to my Blog!

JP Gallery is located about 15 minutes southwest of Jefferson City (between Eldon and Jeff).  We are a small home based studio that strives to provide you with exceptional portraits and customer service.  We are three women that are just like most of you - a mom, a wife, a friend, a daughter, etc.  -we are - Jen the photographer, Judy the office manager/assistant, and Lori the design specialist.   Together we are a great team.

Whether photographing a graduating senior or a two year old boy, I strive to capture the true essence of the individual.  To me, this means photographing not only the smiles, but the expressions that will help you to remember (in years to come) what that loved one's personality was really like.   I work at improving my craft daily by continuing education and pouring my heart and soul into my work.  I LOVE what I do and have been truly blessed with this gift.

Another blessing that comes with what I do is the ability to make and grow new relationships.  I have become very close with many of my clients and now consider them not only  customers but friends.   Thanks for taking the time to browse my website.  - jen

SPIDEY-MAN

Who is the masked man?  Well, this is one of my favorite little boys to photograph!  During his session his mother and I were bargaining with him that if he did well with his ‘normal’ pictures, then he would get to put on his spidey suit and have some additional photos taken.  It turns out that these are my favorites of his session.  Not only does it totally capture his personality, it just makes me smile every time I see them!  I think I will be ordering this collage for above my desk!Spidey

This is a good reminder that portraits don’t always have to be stiff and perfect smiles.  We want to remember our children how they REALLY were during that age – whether it be a serious expression, a crying baby, a grumpy two year old, or a spidey posing four year old.  These are the pictures that really capture the essense of childhood.  ENJOY!
