Welcome to my Blog!

JP Gallery is located about 15 minutes southwest of Jefferson City (between Eldon and Jeff). We are a small home based studio that strives to provide you with exceptional portraits and customer service. We are three women that are just like most of you - a mom, a wife, a friend, a daughter, etc. -we are - Jen the photographer, Judy the office manager/assistant, and Lori the design specialist. Together we are a great team.

Whether photographing a graduating senior or a two year old boy, I strive to capture the true essence of the individual. To me, this means photographing not only the smiles, but the expressions that will help you to remember (in years to come) what that loved one's personality was really like. I work at improving my craft daily by continuing education and pouring my heart and soul into my work. I LOVE what I do and have been truly blessed with this gift.

Another blessing that comes with what I do is the ability to make and grow new relationships. I have become very close with many of my clients and now consider them not only customers but friends. Thanks for taking the time to browse my website. - jen

and I’m already getting my post in – wow new resolve (we’ll see how long it lasts)!

Anyway so I was at Barnes and Noble yesterday looking for some new running books (I have committed to running a 1/2 marathon in September – more on that later), and came across the funniest book. I was laughing out loud in the book store it was so funny. The book:

Although I’m not a new mom I just had to buy it so I can share it with all the new moms that come into my studio (which is a lot). If you read this book, and you are a mom of any kind, and you don’t laugh out loud – then something is wrong with you!

Picture of the day: Jefferson City Senior Photographer

So far this week has been full of family sessions, kiddos, & one senior. As the weather improves, we are getting more and more busy. Currently we only have 3 sessions left before May is booked solid. So if you are wanting to get in before June, give us a call right away.

My plan with the blog is to post a picture of the day – EVERYDAY! Yes, you read that right – everyday for the next month! (Well at least on the days that the studio is open – MWF) Now, if I have a sick child or something disasterous happens you may have to cut me a little slack. As well as an image a day, I hope to include other fun stuff on the blog – so stay tuned!

So my picture today is of a senior that I photographed on Monday.

I really can’t wait for the 2011 senior season to start up. I already have quite a few senior booked and have come up with some great new sets for this season.

Give us a challenge – we’re up for it!!!

Friday we were presented with a photography challenge. Three small dogs + a one year = controlled chaos! However, chaos that was soo fun! I haven’t completely finished editing all the images, but when I do I will post more here. As I was ‘pre-editing’ them this morning, this image just made me laugh out loud! This about describes how most of the session went. Check out Dad’s expression – that tells you how much fun we had!
