Sometimes, as much as I want to get the perfect shot, it just doesn’t happen. Kids are not feeling well or just plain not in the mood for pictures. Luckily we have handled this before and if we can’t get them interested by the end of the session we are happy to reschedule. Sometimes a different day makes all the difference in the world!!!
And, if it doesn’t – some of the ‘out takes’ are always my faves!!! I remember, when I was growing up, one of the pictures that my mother proudly displayed on the wall was of me with a HUGE pout on my face. That picture got more comments from visitors and always brought about conversations! I’m sure looking at that portrait took my mother right back to the time that I was being stubborn for the photographer – and that probably made her smile.
I believe that the image below will do the same for these kiddos mom and grandma! I have photographed all of these kids since they were babies. The girl in the middle is the sweetest thing ever and has NEVER given me a hard time – today was just not her day! The baby is my ’smiley baby’ from a couple posts back. I actually LOVE this picture = it makes me laugh everytime I look at it!!!! So sometimes getting the perfect shot isnt everything!
