JP Gallery bio picture

Welcome to my Blog!

JP Gallery is located about 15 minutes southwest of Jefferson City (between Eldon and Jeff).  We are a small home based studio that strives to provide you with exceptional portraits and customer service.  We are three women that are just like most of you - a mom, a wife, a friend, a daughter, etc.  -we are - Jen the photographer, Judy the office manager/assistant, and Lori the design specialist.   Together we are a great team.

Whether photographing a graduating senior or a two year old boy, I strive to capture the true essence of the individual.  To me, this means photographing not only the smiles, but the expressions that will help you to remember (in years to come) what that loved one's personality was really like.   I work at improving my craft daily by continuing education and pouring my heart and soul into my work.  I LOVE what I do and have been truly blessed with this gift.

Another blessing that comes with what I do is the ability to make and grow new relationships.  I have become very close with many of my clients and now consider them not only  customers but friends.   Thanks for taking the time to browse my website.  - jen

I’m baaaack!

For those of you that didn’t know I have been gone for a week to a photography conference in Captiva Island Fl.  Wendy Winters (of Winters Portrait Design) and I traveled together and met up with two photographers from KC and one from Iowa.  Our days started at 6AM with sunrise shoots, then it was off to class all day until 10PM.  The week was packed with loads of good information!  I am back from Florida and my head is just full to the brim of new and exciting information.  I learned all kinds of new lighting and posing techniques, business ideas, and had a lot of fun in the process.  We were surrounded by some serious talent!  In fact, two of my roomates were photographers with their masters!  So I had a great time soaking in all of thier knowledge.  I have a lot of images from the week and will be dividing them up into several posts.  So make sure and check the blog regularly for updates.

I want to thank everyone for being patient with me and my website woes while I was gone.  I have been working on getting all of the orders out this weekend and catching up with the pile that was created on my desk while I was gone.

Here are some shots of my first sunrise shoot with ‘Leanna’ as my model (how gorgeous was she?)!Light_pro_1 Light_pro_2 Light_pro_3 Light_pro_4 Light_pro_5 Light_pro_7 Light_pro_8
