Last month the boys outnumbered the girls – big time. So this post will be dedicated to all the cutie patootie little boys I photographed. Next week – it’s the girls turn!!!! So stay tuned!

JP Gallery is located about 15 minutes southwest of Jefferson City (between Eldon and Jeff). We are a small home based studio that strives to provide you with exceptional portraits and customer service. We are three women that are just like most of you - a mom, a wife, a friend, a daughter, etc. -we are - Jen the photographer, Judy the office manager/assistant, and Lori the design specialist. Together we are a great team.
Whether photographing a graduating senior or a two year old boy, I strive to capture the true essence of the individual. To me, this means photographing not only the smiles, but the expressions that will help you to remember (in years to come) what that loved one's personality was really like. I work at improving my craft daily by continuing education and pouring my heart and soul into my work. I LOVE what I do and have been truly blessed with this gift.
Another blessing that comes with what I do is the ability to make and grow new relationships. I have become very close with many of my clients and now consider them not only customers but friends. Thanks for taking the time to browse my website. - jen

This is Kali -

I have photographed Kali since she was a baby (3 years ago). During the first year I photographed her, I throughly enjoyed getting to know her, her mom, and her dad. Of course the bond between Mom and child is always strong – but what I also noticed was how much her Dad adored his little girl. He attended EVERY photo session (which is rare) and would dote on his adorable daughter the entire time. At each session he made sure to bring along one of his hats for her to be photographed in (in addition to Texas longhorn paraphenalia).
These are some of the images I captured of Kali with her Dad’s hats over the last few years:

Tragically, Kali’s dad was killed in a motorcycle accident last August.
So, when Kali showed up for her 3 year session this week and in one of her bags was Dad’s hat – I found myself in tears!!!! He would have been there if he could!
What a gift we (as photographers) are given - to preserve memories of our loved ones. Memories and photographs may be all you have left of someone some day – so don’t put off being photographed because you feel like you need to loose 10 more pounds or because you ‘hate having your picture taken’. Someday, that photograph may be vital to the memory that your loved one has of you!
In memory of Phillip Kunz:

This beautiful snow inspired me to take the camera out on a little field trip. Ava volunteered to model for me a bit – but mainly I just wanted to take pictures of the magnificent scenery that God has blessed us with!!!! enjoy
